Overview:

PureSky Energy is a forward-thinking leader in the renewable energy industry, dedicated to making solar energy accessible and affordable to all communities. We are seeking a highly detailed oriented and motivated individual with a passion for renewable energy to join our Community Solar Team as a Financial Operations Associate. This role will be responsible for the invoicing and collections processes associated with our community solar projects as well as supporting revenue reporting and reconciliation for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and send invoices for community solar participants in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all invoice transactions and customer accounts.
  • Monitor and reconcile large sets of data, identifying invoicing discrepancies and working towards timely resolution.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues, account status, and payment history.
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging and support collections on past due accounts.
  • Track and review project data such as solar production and allocate credits appropriately.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of invoicing policies and procedures.
  • Generate and analyze monthly and ad hoc reporting related to invoicing, customer savings and balances
  • Prepare monthly revenue journal entries to provide to accounting team.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate revenue and cash recognition.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Some experience in an Accounting role preferred
  • Proficient in billing software such as Zuora Billing and accounting software like NetSuite a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, including personal flexibility in day-to-day work.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a positive attitude with a passion for renewable energy.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Salary:

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 USD

Bonus Opportunity: 15% of annual salary
