PureSky Energy Announces Acquisition of Major Solar Portfolio in Corinth, New York
Corinth, NY – 01/18/2023 - PureSky Energy (PureSky) is excited to announce the acquisition of a community solar energy portfolio, consisting of two sites with a combined capacity of 12.92MWdc, in Corinth, New York. This acquisition marks another step forward in PureSky's commitment to expanding its renewable energy footprint and supporting sustainable development.
The portfolio includes the BWBP Heath Brook Solar, LLC and BWBP Sand Brook Solar, LLC sites, previously owned by BWBP, LLC, a joint venture between BlueWave and Boulder Point Solar. This is the third transaction between BlueWave and PureSky, and the first with PureSky and Boulder Point Solar.

“We are very happy to extend our long-standing relationship with BlueWave and start a new relationship with Boulder Point Solar on this acquisition of nearly 13MWDC of VDER projects within the National Grid territory in New York,” said Jared Donald, PureSky’s President and CEO. “This transaction follows the acquisition of PureSky by Palisade Infrastructure and Fiera Infrastructure in June 2023, and builds on PureSky’s history of success in New York as we continue to build and own projects in the market.”
PureSky will begin mobilization of the projects in March 2024 and is anticipated to achieve commercial operations by February 2025. PureSky’s subsidiary, Empyrean, will serve as the EPC for the projects. These sites will provide local jobs, generate long-term tax revenue, and will provide residents and businesses with the ability to subscribe directly to the solar projects. In addition to the project’s sustainability benefits, the community solar subscriptions will provide nearly $8 million in lifetime bill credit savings to its subscribers across the two projects’.
