Intercompany Accountant Associate

Location: Denver, CO

Position Overview

As an Associate Intercompany Accountant in the Solar Energy industry, you will play a crucial role in
ensuring accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of intercompany transactions within
the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain financial integrity and compliance while
supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Intercompany Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of intercompany accounts between
    various entities within the organization. Identify and resolve discrepancies and variances to ensure
    accurate financial reporting.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post intercompany journal entries to record transactions such as
    intercompany loans, sales, expenses, and other cross-charges. Ensure adherence to accounting
    principles and company policies.
  • Invoice Processing: Collaborate with other departments and entities to review and process
    intercompany invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, and operational teams across
    different entities to ensure smooth intercompany transactions and resolve any accounting-related
    issues.
  • Month-end and Year-end Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including
    accruals, provisions, and financial reporting.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Support internal and external audits related to intercompany
    transactions and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in
    intercompany accounting processes. Propose and implement improvements to streamline
    workflows.
  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of intercompany transactions, ensuring
    data integrity and proper documentation.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare periodic reports and analysis of intercompany balances and
    transactions to assist management in decision-making processes.
  • Stay Updated on Regulations: Keep abreast of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and
    industry best practices related to intercompany accounting and ensure compliance.
  • Other ad hoc projects, reports as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with exposure to intercompany accounting
    preferred.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with various teams and
    stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow within the solar energy industry.

Salary:

Annual Salary: $50,000 - $70,000

Bonus Opportunity: 15% of annual salary
