Human Resources Generalist

Location: Denver, CO

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will support the HR Team while having an extraordinary learning opportunity to gain valuable exposure to all HR functions of the business. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director, Human Resources to play a role in company culture, process creation and foster positive change in the employee experience. 
  • Contribute to an support team programs and initiatives such as employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, DEI projects, and recruiting.
  • Administer and support employees regarding all benefits programs.
  • Actively engage in the recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing and administration.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding Human Resources programs, policies, and general administration.  
  • Be involved on all levels on policy, policy administration, and enforcement. 
  • Provide ongoing administrative support to Human Resources. 
  • Remain educated and up to date on all relevant industry related legislation, best practices, and trends. 
  • Organize and maintain various filing systems, including employee files and data tracking spreadsheets and systems. 
  • Create and maintain various reports and conduct necessary analysis on data.
  • Accountable for processing employee updates related to new hires, promotions, salary changes, transfers, leaves, and departures. 
  • Payroll administration and upkeep in HRIS and Payroll systems.
  • Create standard operating procedures documentation as required.
  • Act as an ambassador and major stakeholder in the full-cycle employee experience.
  • Other ad hoc projects, reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field is an asset. 
  • You have at least 3 years’ practical generalist experience in a client focused Human Resources department. 
  • Experience administering health and retirement related benefits programs.
  • Working knowledge of employment related legislation including, but not limited to Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Safety, Workers’ Compensation
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization and with all external contacts. 
  • You have solid verbal, written and listening communication and conflict resolution skills to deal effectively with multiple departments. 
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • You have a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio. 
  • You have experience using an HRIS system. 

Salary:

Annual Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Bonus Opportunity: 15% of annual salary
